Case Taping Machine
A machine takes over folding the flaps of shipping boxes and applying tape. We tie together the end of your line with the fully automatic SCS-1000, the easy-to-set-up SCS-2000, and the CE-1000 case erector that folds boxes.
What is a case taping machine.
A case taping machine closes the flaps of a corrugated box containing products and automatically applies tape along the seam. It is also called a case sealer.
Instead of workers picking up each box and taping it by hand, boxes simply flow through the machine, which folds the flaps and tapes them in sequence. PEC SCS-1000 and SCS-2000 automatically close the box top flaps and apply tape precisely with high-performance sensors.
To automate from box forming onward, place the fully automatic case erector CE-1000 upstream. Stacked flat boxes are set upright one at a time and their bottom flaps are folded and taped; products are then packed and the top is sealed by the taping machine.

What is the difference between SCS-1000 and SCS-2000?
SCS-1000 is a fully automatic model that conveys boxes with side belts on both sides while automatically closing the top flaps and taping, handling boxes up to length 600 · width 500 · height 500 mm. With SCS-2000, you simply set the box height and width and choose top or bottom taping; it processes 25~45 boxes per minute.
What box sizes can it handle?
SCS-1000 handles boxes from length 250 · width 150 · height 120 mm up to length 600 · width 500 · height 500 mm, and SCS-2000 from length 150 · width 180 · height 130 mm up to width 500 · height 600 mm.
What tape widths can be used?
SCS-1000 uses 48~72 mm tape, and SCS-2000 uses 48, 60, or 76 mm tape.
Can box folding be automated too?
The fully automatic case erector CE-1000 feeds stacked flat boxes one at a time, sets them upright, folds the bottom flaps, and tapes them. It separates precisely with air cylinders and alerts you when consumables run low. It processes 8~10 boxes per minute.
Can it print manufacturing dates while taping?
Yes. An inkjet marking machine (cartridge type) or thermal transfer marking machine (ribbon type) can be added to SCS-1000·SCS-2000 as an option. The manufacturing date is printed the moment the box is closed and passes through.
What power and air supply are required for installation?
SCS-1000 uses 220V single-phase 400W with 6 kgf air pressure, SCS-2000 uses 220V single-phase 180W, and CE-1000 uses 220V single-phase 400W with 6 kgf air pressure.
Can we test with our own boxes first?
Yes. Send us the boxes you currently use or visit our demonstration center at our Yongin headquarters in Gyeonggi-do, and we will show you the taping firsthand. Specifications for all equipment are finalized after a sample test.
